At New Street Butchers we take pride in our traditional butchering skills. We source much of our free range beef, pork and lamb from local farms where they are slaughtered and then hung (matured) for the correct period, of time the process of preparing the meat can now begin.

A brief insight into some our most popular products are detailed below;

Most popular homemade product – Award winning Sausages

By far our most popular homemade product is our award winning sausages, made with our finest fresh pork and blended with our own ingredients to make a tasty, meaty sausage. The range starts with the simplest plain pork sausage seasoned only with salt and pepper progressing to our best selling ‘savoury pork’ sausage infused with herbs. For the more adventurous, we have Pork & Fresh Leek, Smoked Bacon, Sweet Minty Lamb, Beef & Whole Grain Mustard and many more.

Most successful product - 12 day cured bacon

Three years ago we started curing our own bacon and by popular demand, that very same process has continued to this present day. The whole process takes place over a twelve day period and using the larger, tasty middle section of the animal. We then bone and trim the pork ready for curing, adding only salt and spices. The middles are left for 12 days then sliced giving us back, streaky and gammon rashers.
